How it Works
ADHD coaching (and executive functioning coaching) can help you:
- Figure out what you want to work on (like homework, chores, or routines)
- Notice strategies you already use that help
- Set realistic goals and make a plan to use those strategies more
- Stay on track to reach your goals
Good to know:
- You can do coaching and mental health therapies at the same time.
- Coaches don’t always take insurance. Insurance usually only covers it if the coach is also a licensed therapist—but many coaches can offer different prices or payment options, so it’s okay to ask.
You don’t need a specific degree or license to be a coach, but some coaches have extra training and certifications (like PAAC). A licensed therapist with additional training can also be a great ADHD/executive functioning coach.
