Hi — I’m Mira Cohen.
As a neurodivergent (ND) young adult, I’ve been frustrated for a long time that there really wasn’t a community or accurate information out for people like me.
Then, I learned about all the incredible neurodivergent women making a difference by sharing their stories and wisdom, and I discovered that nothing like that really exists for tweens, teens, and young adults. So, being me, I became determined to create the resources I wished I had when I was younger. I started blogging.
About My Experiences
- Licensed Masters Social Worker, State of Connecticut
- Masters of Social Work, UConn School of Social Work
- Certified yoga and mindfulness instructor through Breathe for Change, a program that teaches educators how to incorporate mindfulness and yoga in the classroom.
- Life experience. Like many who are neurodivergent, I’ve participated in multiple camps, therapies, social skill groups, and educational opportunities over the years. This allows me to pass on what I’ve found to be the most helpful.
Important
I’m a licensed social worker, not a clinical mental health professional (yet). All the information on this site is backed up lots of research and make you feel less alone. But it’s not supposed to replace professional care.
About My Writing Process
I love to write, but like many neurodivergents, I can find it hard to organize my thoughts in a way that my readers can understand. So I use AI to help with spelling and to refine word choice and overall structure. All ideas, experiences, opinions, and decisions about what’s included here are mine.
